Whenever I can I get out of London on Sunday morning and walk in beautiful countryside for 10 - 15 km. I would be happy to lead a small group of other people and show you some of the places I have enjoyed over the years. My routine has been to meet my walking companion(s) at Baker Street Tube at 9:30 on a Sunday and then travel by tube, train or car for no more than 1 hour out of London. We take sandwiches and drinks and do not plan to visit pubs etc on the way. A picnic in the woods or fields …

This group is an informal one, for experienced open-water swimmers only, as there are no support canoes and no lifeguards. The meeting point is about 1 kilometer upstream, North of Boulters Lock, on a lovely stretch of the Thames River. I swim for about an hour but nothing stops anyone from turning around sooner or extending their swim!
